Lazying in bed beside my napping son on this rainy and thundery singaporean afternoon, I had a vision of my feet standing in the sunlit, ankle-high and crystal-clear sea water of a mauritian shore, almost buried in the white, rippled sand. Small, cool waves lapped my ankles and their delicate shadows on the sand formed an intricate, kaleidoscopic lace-like pattern.

Bright, gentle, pure ... paradisiac.
